Srinagar, April 05, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the residents of localities on the banks of Dal Lake, today, staged a demonstration in Srinagar to protest against the authorities’ failure to bring down the water level in the lake. The residents of Moti Mohallah and adjoining areas blocked the road leading to Nishat area and demanded immediate measures to bring down the water level in the lake.
“We are being victimized. Our houses which were submerged may collapse any time,” said a protester. The protesters asked the puppet Chief Minister to address their grievances by directing the concerned officials to take required measures. The water level in the lake had reached around 13 ft, triggering panic among the people living around the lake.
