Karachi: Two tankers, three container vessels and a bulk carrier are due to reach at the outer anchorage of Karachi Port on Saturday. Tanker OCEAN TIARA for discharging 70,000 tonnes of low sulphuric furnace oil, tanker PLOUTOS for discharging 45,000 tonnes of MOGAS and bulk carrier AL ALYA for loading 7,000 tonnes of cement are arriving at the port on Saturday, the 28th April 2012. Moreover, a tanker vessel PACIFIC POLARIS for loading 40,000 tonnes of Naphtha and three container vessels are arriving today at Karachi Port.
During the last 24 hours, three berthing and five sailing of vessels have taken place from Karachi Port. General cargo carrier MADRID TRADER, tanker BUNGA AZALEA and bilk carrier TESORO have acquired safe berthing at the port whereas container vessels SYDNEY and APL BRISBANE, bulk carriers RINEA and HELENIC HORIZON and a container vessel TABEA have sailed out of port limits. Vessels TESORO and KOTA AZAM are expected to sail out on Saturday whereas vessel MADRID and CATHRINA are due to sail out sometime today.
A total tonnage of 45,239 comprising 18,622 tonnes of export cargo and 26,617 tonnes of import cargo were handled by the port during the last 24 hours.
