Crackdown on youth continues in Pulwama, Shopian

Srinagar, March 26, 2017 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, ahead of sham b- polls for Islamabad parliamentary seat, arrest spree in various areas of south Kashmir continued with police rounding up 18 more youth in Shopian and Pulwama districts.

In Mitrigam area of Pulwama police raided several homes during night and arrested at least a dozen youth.

The number of youth arrested in these districts during the past couple of weeks has risen to 114. The arrested youth are lodged in various police stations of the district.

In neighboring Shopian district, police picked up at least six youth from Imam Sahab area of the district during night raids.

A few days ago, police had arrested at least 13 youths from Meemandar and Harmain villages of the district during night raids.
