Crackdown against top 20 proclaimed offenders is underway in Punjab

Lahore: Under an aggressive strategy a high level crackdown against top twenty proclaimed offenders of each district of the province is underway and police department got major achievements in this regard.

This was stated by Inspector General of police, Punjab, Muhammad Habib-ur-Rehman while addressing to Police Darbar at Police Lines, Okara today. DPO Okara, all Police Officers of the district and media persons were present on this occasion.

IGP further said that people would be provided relief and security only by nabbing the network of hardened criminals. He said that there was unrest among the citizens due to criminal activities and heinous crimes done by most wanted criminals. The prime responsibility of the Police Officers is to fight against them.

The PPO further said that he believed in aggressive policing and expected the same from all officers. He said that the role of Police Officers should be horrible for the criminals so that they leave the province because of their terror.

Muhammad Habib-ur-Rehman further said that the morale of honest Police Officers and Officials had boosted by discouraging corrupt and delinquent officials as he had started operation cleanup from the department throughout the province. He warned that any policeman and influential who try to become barricade in the way of rightful, would be punished without any discrimination.
