Peshawar, June 02, 2016 (PPI-OT):Corruption free Pakistan is our goal. Elimination of corruption from the society is inevitable for the achievements of the goal of prosperity and justice. These were expressed by Director General, NAB, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shahzad Saleem while handing over a cheque of Rs. 7 crore and 86 lacs rupees to Deputy Secretary Finance, KP Mr. Muhammad Sadiq recovered from corrupt officers and officials LG and RDD, PHA, PHE and Agriculture department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Addressing the participants and officials on the occasion, DG NAB reiterated that no corrupt official will be left and all such elements will be brought to the courts to answer for their wrong doings in financial matters and misuse of authority.
He said that the process of accountability has been expedited and it will continue on war footings. While highlighting the role of NAB, he said that NAB officers are utilizing their full potential and energies and they have made a positive impact on the financial affairs on the financial affairs of the state. He pledged that NAB will continue to work with impartiality, transparency, due process and according to the law of the land.
He once again demanded of the public at large to come forward, keep a check on corruption matters and inform NAB about genuine corruption scandals. He said that NAB can reach the goal of “Corruption Free Pakistan” only with the full and fearless support of the masses. At the end, he thanked NAB officers for recovery of the looted money.
