Karachi, September 07, 2015 (PPI-OT): To pay homage to martyrs of Pakistan, a ceremony was held here at Malir Cantonment. Children of the various schools presented tableau to pay tribute to Shuhada. Renowned singers also performed and amused the audience. Corps Commander Lieutenant General Naveed Mukhtar laid the floral wreath at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada and offered Fateha.
While addressing, Corps Commander paid rich tribute to the martyrs those who laid down their lives in defence of the country. “We acknowledge the sacrifices of our martyrs and they will always be remembered and their sacrifices will not go waste”, he said. He reiterated that armed forces and nation are always with the families of Shuhada.
Lieutenant General Naveed Mukhtar also lauded the efforts of Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) and other law enforcement agencies for restoration of peace in Karachi. He hoped that with the support of people, the LEAs will bring peace in the city.
Families of Shuhada, Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah, political figures, serving and retired military and civil officers, diplomats, famous sports personalities and people from all walks of life attended the ceremony.
