Srinagar, April 19, 2016 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, the Hurriyet forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has strongly condemned his continued house arrest. The spokesman of the forum in a statement issued in Srinagar deplored that the Mirwaiz was not being allowed to carry out his religious and political activities.
The spokesman demanded immediate release of Mirwaiz and Hurriyet leaders including Mukhtar Ahmed Waza, Shahid-ul-Islam, Ghulam Nabi Zaki, Mushtaq Ahmad Sofi, Farooq Ahmed Sodagar, Abdur Rasheed Tanki, Sahil Ahmed War, Tariq Ahmed, Bashir Ahmed Sheikh, Muhammad Ashraf Shah and Sheikh Yasir Ahmed.
Meanwhile, a delegation of the Hurriyet forum comprising Abdur Rasheed Untoo, Abdul Majeed Wani and Mir Imran visited different hospitals of Srinagar and inquired about the health of the youth, who were injured when Indian troops and police personnel used brute force on peaceful protesters across the territory.
