Srinagar, March 18, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic People’s Movement (DPM) has condemned the continued detention of its Chairman Firdous Ahmad Shah at Kothi Bagh Police Station in Srinagar, terming it as unjustified.
A spokesman for the DPM in a statement in Srinagar said, “The detention is contrary to the established law.” “It shows that the puppet administration is run by police authorities,” he said demanded Firdous’s immediate and unconditional release.
Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League Spokesman, Imtiaz Reshi in a statement strongly condemned the continued detention of its Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza and use of brute force on people. He said that India and its military might policies could not suppress and weaken the ongoing Kashmiris’ liberation struggle.
