Srinagar, August 07, 2016 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Hurriyet forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and other Hurriyet leaders have strongly condemned the continued atrocities of Indian forces on the innocent people. They described it as the worst type of state terrorism.
The Hurriyet forum spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the killings, arrests and harassment could not weaken the freedom sentiment of the Kashmiri people as they would continue their just struggle till securing their right to self-determination.
Nayeem Ahmad Khan in a statement in Srinagar said that teargas shelling in SMHS hospital, Kangan, and many other hospitals in south and north Kashmir was a clear indication that forces had waged a war against Kashmiri people. He said the forces are not only on a killing ‘mission’ in every nook and corner of the Valley but they also attack ambulances to ensure that the injured die for the lack of medical treatment. He said that it was the cruellest criminal face of Indian so-called democracy.
The Chief patron of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front-R, Barrister Abdul Majeed Trumbo in a statement expressed serious concern over the killing spree and injuring of hundreds in different parts of the territory. It is highly condemnable that even women protestors are not being spared and brutal police and Indian forces showered pellets on women, he deplored.
The spokesman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement in a statement in Srinagar castigated the state administration for detaining party Chairman, Zafar Akbar Butt without any reason and termed his detention illegal and unjustified. He said that Zafar Akbar Butt is suffering from headache and needed ENT consultation for pain in his ear but the puppet administration had detained him and put him under confinement.
General Secretary of Tehreek-e-Muzahamat, Mohammad Salim Zargar in his statement in Srinagar condemned the use of brute force by forces on women and peaceful protesters in Islamabad town. He said that puppet regime by showering bullets and pelts proved that it was totalitarian in nature and believed only in killing and inflicting atrocities over innocent people. He also expressed deep sorrow over the loss of youth in Baramulla, Chadora and Beerwa.
