Karachi, August 10, 2016 (PPI-OT):The Consul General of Qatar Saad Abdulla S.M Al-Shareef called on Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and discussed bilateral relationship with him. He congratulated Murad Ali Shah on his election as chief minister Sindh. The chief minister told the diplomat that he had been in Kuwait and used to travel to Duha. “I used to consider Doha as his next home,” he said.
He said that Qatar was surplus in LNG and “I have requested the federal government to allow Sindh to import LNG for energy purpose,” he said and added if the permission was granted he would import from Qatar. The chief minister said that the Sindh government has established Energy department under which a gas company has been set up.”I would appreciate if a Qatri state-owned company help Sindh Gas Company to perform well,” he said. On this the consul general assured the chief minister that he would play his due role. The chief minister presented traditional ajrak, khes and Sindhi cap to Qatar’s diplomat.
