Collective efforts required to avoid any water-related catastrophe: Amin

Islamabad, March 20, 2021 (PPI-OT): Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Climate Change, Malik Amin Aslam has called for collective efforts at the world level to avoid any water-related catastrophe and conflict. Virtually addressing the United Nations General Assembly high level session on water related goals and targets, he said water is a natural resource that is vital for the sustenance of life.

Malik Amin Aslam informed the UN General Assembly session about Pakistan’s vision on addressing water issues arising due to climate change. He said as a signatory of the 1960 Indus Water Treaty between Pakistan and India, we believe in trans-boundary water cooperation as a pillar for sustainable water management.
