Civilian killings: HCBA members boycott court work

Srinagar, April 15, 2016 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, the members of High Court Bar Association (HCBA), today, boycotted the court proceedings to show solidarity with the families of those martyred in Kupwara. The High Court Bar Association in meeting held in Srinagar paid rich tributes to all those Kashmiris who have sacrificed their lives for the Kashmir cause.

Condemning the killing of innocent civilians, it was also decided to file a Public Interest Litigation petition in the High Court of the territory. It was also stated that the girl who was molested by an Indian soldier and her father were in police captivity ever since from the date of incident.

The members also castigated the statement of puppet Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, in which she had stated that those who were killed would be given compensation. It was stated that paying of compensation could not bring back the victims.
