City Government to complete Mehran highway in 6 months

Karachi: City District Government Karachi will complete the construction of Mehran Highway in six months.

Development work on this road from Hospital Roundabout to Cattle Colony and up to Machine Tool Factory was already underway while the Revenue Department had been directed to remove the encroachments coming in its way without delay.

City Government will also prepare the PC-1 and get the approval for constructing the link way between Shah Faisal Town and Landhi Town by constructing a new way linking Azeempura to Shara-e-Altaf.

This was decided during a visit of 6 towns including Shah Faisal, Korangi, Landhi, Bin Qasim, Gadap and Malir Town by Administrator Karachi Mohammad Hussain Syed and DCO Karachi Roshan Ali Shaikh on Monday.

Director General Parks Liaquat Ali Khan, EDO Works Altaf G. Memon, EDO MS Dr. Shoukat Zaman and other officers accompanied Administrator and DCO Karachi on this visit.

Administrator and DCO Karachi also inspected the cleanliness campaign in these towns and expressed satisfaction on this that the ongoing campaign had brought improvement in the overall sanitation condition in the city.
