Islamabad: A Chinese delegation of Battery-Powered Bikes manufacturers has visited Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI). Chinese businessmen are interested to support the private sector development by promoting economic co-operation between the business sectors of the two countries.
The Chinese delegates highlighted the incentives of these battery-powered bikes and said that these bikes were not only providing benefit to the people but would also help the Government in its efforts to cut oil import bill and stop further environmental degradation. They also hinted at the possibility of these batteries being replaced by Solar Recharge batteries in alternate models.
Speaking on the occasion, Yassar Sakhi Butt, President ICCI appreciated Chinese invention and technological advancement in manufacturing battery-powered bikes as these are promising extremely low-cost environment-friendly transportation.
He said that Pakistan is facing severe energy crisis and it was become difficult for a common man to bear transport expenditure, so the idea of battery-powered bikes would ease the transport burden on the common man, protecting the environment and relieving the oil import bill.
ICCI President said that we welcome Chinese support at all levels and at all times, needless to say that Chinese companies are already engaged in different fields such as defense, telecom, petroleum, but this cooperation should further goes in agriculture, tourism and renewable energy sectors.
Yassar Sakhi Butt said that the year 2011 was declared as ‘Pak-China Friendship Year’ and emphasized on the need for the exchange of business delegations by both sides.
