Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan handover Chinese Government’s cash assistance of US dollar 1.5 million for flood affectees in Pakistan

Islamabad, August 26, 2013 (PPI-OT): In a formal ceremony at the Economic Affairs Division, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Mr. Sun Weidong handed over Chinese Government’s cash assistance of 1.5 million US dollars for the flood affectees in Pakistan.

The Handing over certificate was signed by Chinese Ambassador and Secretary Economic Affairs Division Ms. Nargis Sethi.

The assistance has been provided to Government of Pakistan as a token of friendship between the two countries as both countries have been always pioneer to come to the assistance of each other in natural calamities and disasters. The Chinese Government is closing monitoring the situation in Pakistan and is ready to provide all possible assistance to the government of Pakistan.

The Secretary EAD, on the occasion thanked the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan on behalf of the government of Pakistan. She said that the present government is embarked on the policy of further deepening the current friendly relations between the two countries. She specially mentioned the vision of the Prime Minister regarding the Pakistan-China economic corridor which is future of the economic activities in the region.
