Children are our national asset so we should invest best of our resources on them to make them better educated human beings: Minister

Islamabad, April 20, 2016 (PPI-OT):Minister of State Engr. Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman attended the 4th Annual Day organized by Al Huda International School at Pak China Friendship Centre today. Minister of State congratulated the head of Al Huda International Dr. Farhat Hashmi and her team for arranging the event so beautifully.

He said that these children are our national asset so we should invest best of our resources on them to make them better educated human beings. While narrating an incident of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) he said that education and research both are necessary in our religion. So we should not just rely on the syllabus but we should encourage our children to research and explore different subjects, fields and ideas.

Minister of State said that we are trying to make Quranic taleem compulsory in all public schools after consulting all the provinces through the platform of IPEMC (Inter Provincial Education Ministers’ Conference). Nazra Quran will be taught from class 1 to class 5th and proper Quranic taleem with translation will be taught to the students of class 6th to class 10th, said the Minister.

Minister of State also talked about the SDGs, decrease in dropout rate and increase in education budget etc on the occasion. He added that education scenario is improving in Pakistan and we all need to work together to make it even better. He admired the role played by the private schools in educating the young guns of Pakistan. In the End, Management team of Al Huda presented the token of appreciation to the Minister of State.
