Karachi, March 01, 2019 (PPI-OT): Chief Secretary Sindh Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah has advised all Provincial Secretaries and head of the attached institutions to remain alert in view of the existing emergency situation, and he added to strengthen coordinated efforts to combat any untoward situation with the specific reference of national integrity and safety. He presided an important meeting regarding strategic arrangements to ensure the internal security of the Sindh Provinces and all parts of the Country, and asked the participants to coordinate with the CCR (Central Control Room) established in the Home Department.
The meeting also linked through video revived the overall situation under the present circumstance Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah, pointing out the revocation of leaves of the officers and employees of the Sindh government emphasized the participants to ensure performance of their duties for safety of the masses and all installations and properties in the larger national interest. He stressed the need to keep ready the arrangements of facilitating the people with food, medicines, treatment and all other basic services like water, power and other utilities.
The heads and representatives of SSGC, K-Electric, KDA, KMC, Fire Brigade, Sindh Red Crescent Society, Sindh Boys Scouts Association, Civil Defense, PDMA and all Administrative Secretaries, attended the meeting and briefed their preparations regarding internal security and safety arrangements. Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah asked the participants to strictly monitor the affairs, to this effect. He maintenance that all departments must be active 24 hours, and establish close coordination with CCR-Home Department.
The Chief Secretary also instructed the IGP Sindh and Commissioners/Deputy Commissioners to do the needful devotedly and zealously. He further noted that all information should be sheered with CCR-Home Department. IGP Syed Kaleem Imam assured the C.S. for performing all duties effectively by the Sindh Police. The Chief Secretary also advised to activate the Control Rooms in all concerned quarters. SMBR Muhammad Hussain Syed, Secretary Home Abdul Kabir Kazi and Commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Shalwani also briefed the meeting.
