Karachi, May 23, 2016 (PPI-OT):Chief Secretary Sindh Muhammad Siddique Memon has emphasized upon streamlining the construction process of Sindh Secretariat Complex i.e. Building No. 7 and 8 adjacent to Shahrah e Liaquat and Masjid-e-Khizra. He asked the Secretary Works and Services Department to evolve a mechanized strategy for completion of civil work, transparently and sufficiently.
While presiding a meeting, to this effect, Siddique Memon categorically noted that specific time plan, over all work plan and monitoring system must be undertaken for smooth construction should be materialized in all respect, as well, he added, that monthly report be strictly communicated to his (C.S) office.
The Chief Secretary advised the Secretary General Administration to ensure expeditious completion of the Sindh Secretariat. It may be mentioned that eight (08) departments viz; Agriculture, Irrigation, Food, Forest, Wildlife, Fisheries, Tax Management and Zakat and Ushr are linked with the under construction Sindh Secretariat Complex.
Those who attended the meeting include ACS (P and D), Chairman Anti Corruption, SMBR, Secretaries of Works and Services, Finance and Implementation, while Secretary G.A was also present. An estimated cost of Rs. 4.7 billion involves for Sindh Secretariat Complex.
