Karachi, May 15, 2015 (PPI-OT): Chief Secretary Sindh Muhammad Siddique Memon has emphasized upon ensuring the legal procedure in respect of all the affairs, specifically the matters pertained to the cultural heritage off Sindh i.e., securing permission from the competent authorities like SBCA Sindh Building Control Authority and other similar institutions for smooth functioning, thereof.
While presiding over a meeting of the advisory committee on cultural heritage of Sindh, on Friday in Sindh Secretariat, Muhammad Siddique Memon noted that rules and regulations must be followed in all relevant affairs. Secretary Culture Aftab Memon, Additional Secretary Works and Services Zahid Ali Shah, Members of the Committee Architect Arif Hasan, Architect Suhail Kalwar, former provincial secretary Dr. Kaleemullah Lashari, representative of SBCA Muhammad Nadeem and other attended.
It was decided in the meeting that members of Technical Committee would visit the buildings declared as cultural heritage including Hatim Alvi Building and Site around the Holi Shrine of Abdullah Shah Ghazi, Jahangir Kothori Parad and old Temple at Clifton. The committee will submit report to the Chief Secretary Sindh, who is also the Chairman of the Advisory Committee on Cultural Heritage.
