Karachi, October 16, 2012 (PPI-OT): Chief Secretary Sindh Raja Muhammad Abbas has advised the Police Officers to perform their duties more devotedly and zealously as there are heavy responsibilities over their shoulders, to ensure peace and stability in the society.
He was addressing the under training ASPs (Assistant Superintendents of Police) – the participants of 30th Common Training Programme – on a study tour to Sindh. The ASPs met C.S. in the leadership of SSP/ Course Commandant Tayyeb Hafeez.
The Chief Secretary appreciated the role of Police in the difficult events and hoped that the Police Officers and officials would keep it up. Raja Muhammad Abbas noted the Sindh Government was endeavouring to ensure the energy issues’ solution by adopting the alternate means- the work for wind power energy is being carried out sufficiently and by the March 2013 it is expected that 02 wind energy plants would start functioning having the capacity of 100 MW electric power.
He also mentioned that coal power plants are also being established. The experts from Republic of Chek , China and UK are being consulted while water hubs in rural areas, in addition to eradicating the water born diseases.
Raja further told that in water shortage areas of Karachi viz : Lyari, Malir, Keamari and Ibrahim Hyderi Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants have been installed. He elaborated that action against the illegal hydrants is in process with a view to eradicate the water theft (illegal) activities.
Secretary General Administration Mumtaz Ali Shah and Secretary Services Iqbal Durrani were also present.
