Chief Ministers meet Prime Minister

Islamabad: Chief Minister Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Chief Minister KPK Mr Ameer Haider Khan Hoti called on the Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani at the Prime Minister’s Secretariat today before the 8th meeting of the Council of Common Interest.

They congratulated the Prime Minister for undertaking the visit of the brotherly Muslim country Qatar which was timely and indeed very productive from the perspective of both the countries.

The Prime Minister said that his meeting with Amir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani was the highlight who said, “With Prime Minister’s visit, a new chapter of relations of two countries has begun”.

The Prime Minister said that his Qatari counterpart was very upbeat about the absorption of Pakistani skilled manpower to contribute to build the infrastructure pertaining to the 2022 Olympic Games scheduled to be held in the country.

The Prime Minister said that during his meetings, he articulated with the Qatari leadership that poverty and illiteracy were the major root cause of extremism and terrorism and the absorption of unemployed Pakistani people in gainful employment would greatly help in circumventing them from falling into the trap of terrorists.
