Islamabad, December 05, 2012 (PPI-OT): Mr Mumtaz Kahloon, Chairman National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTEC) called on Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf this afternoon and apprised him about various initiatives taken by the Commission for furnishing technical education to the youth of the country.
The Prime Minister underlined the importance of the NAVTEC and said that it can be extremely useful in training better skilled work force for a competitive market.
The Prime Minister urged the Chairman NAVTEC to design such programs for rural women which help them becoming economically self-reliant.
The Prime Minister appreciated the Chairman on the successful launching of the Wasila-e-Rozgar scheme in collaboration with Benazir Income Support Program (BISP). The Program will go a long way in alleviating the sufferings of the needy, the Prime Minister added.
