Ceremony to Award Scholarships to Nepalese Students

Islamabad, June 03, 2016 (PPI-OT):The Pakistan Embassy in Kathmandu (Nepal) organized a Scholarship Award ceremony for Nepalese students at a local hotel on 26th May, 2016. Honourable Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Women, Children and Social welfare, Mr. CP Minali, and Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal, Dr Mazhar Javed awarded scholarships to the students.

In his remarks, Deputy Prime Minister Mr. CP Minali thanked the Government of Pakistan for its assistance to the Nepalese students. He said that this gesture will have long lasting impact on the relations between the two countries.

One Hundred Twenty students of Secondary / Higher Secondary Schools of Nepal were awarded scholarships amounting to NRs. 10,000.00 each, under Pakistan’s government’s Special Assistance Programme for South Asian countries.
