Islamabad, August 19, 2013 (PPI-OT): The Capital Development Authority (CDA) would make all out efforts to control pollen allergy in the federal capital. Health Services Directorate, CDA in collaboration with the hospitals of the city would device a strategy to control the pollen allergy during the upcoming spring season.
Directorate of Health Services in collaboration with government hospitals and private medical centre would also device a strategy for establishment of pollen allergy centres to provide treatment to the patients.
Chairman CDA, Nadeem Hassan Asif said this during a meeting about the preventive measures against pollen allergy held here on Thursday. On this occasion Director Health Services, Dr. Hassan Orooj and other senior officers were also present.
Chairman CDA directed Director Health Services to take effective measures against the pollen allergy in the city. He directed the concerned formations of the authority to formulate a firm strategy in collaboration with the hospitals (both government and private medical centres) of the federal capital for eradication of pollen allergy.
He directed for establishment of specific units for pollen allergy patients with sufficient stock of relevant medicines in all hospitals of the city so that they could get best medical relief round the clock. He further directed for arrangement of “Robo-Call” Service from private establishments during the epidemic and other public health issues in the city.
Talking about the public awareness campaign on pollen allergy, Chairman CDA urged for printing of leaflets and brochures and its distribution among the public for awareness purpose. In this regard, he directed for use of digital LCD Screens fixed at various locations of the federal capital.
Earlier, Director Health Services, Dr. Hassan Orooj apprised the Chairman CDA about the efforts made by CDA against pollen allergy. He informed that a comprehensive plan about the preventive measures against pollen allergy has been finalized.
On the basis of data base a “Robo-Call” system would be introduced for easy access to the pollen allergy patient. DHS informed the Chairman CDA that during the forthcoming polio campaign, special focus would be given to I-11 Katchi Abadi because of the movement of pushtoons between remote areas of KPK and I-11 Katchi Abadi to avoid risk of polio cases.
