Karachi, November 29, 2012 (PPI-OT): Centralized Call Centre Management System and Supporting Services have been successfully implemented / deployed by Information Technology Department, Government of Sindh in coordination with Police Department under the Project of Introduction of E-Police in Sindh.
This was stated by Sindh Minister for Information Technology Muhammad Raza Haroon while reviewing the progress of development projects of I.T. Department at his office here today. Under the project, Vehicle Tracking System have been installed into more than 100 emergency response vehicles so far provided by the Police Department. This process is being continued as per availability of the vehicles, the Minister I.T. added.
The Madadgar 15 Call Centre has been fully operative and functional since 13th January 2011 and the Madadgar 15 staff of the Police Department is fully trained and attending emergency live calls 24/7 on the new established system. Police Department has already taken – over the administrative and operational control of the Madadgar 15 Call Centre for last eleven months, the Minister concluded.
