Cabinet body meeting on Regularization of Contract/Daily Wage employees held

Islamabad, November 29, 2012 (PPI-OT): A meeting of the Cabinet Sub-Committee on Regularization of the Contract/Daily Wages Employees was held in the Committee Room of Establishment Division under the Chairmanship of Syed Khursheed Ahmad Shah, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs.

During the meeting of the Cabinet sub-Committee, 3925 contract/daily wages employees of the Utility Stores Corporation of Pakistan under the Ministry of Industries were approved for regularization along with 2799 contract/daily wages employees of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources. Amongst the other Ministries/Divisions, there were 453 employees of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, 420 employees of Federal Board of Revenue and 92 employees of the Ministry of Science and Technology and dozens of employees of the Ministries of Capital Administration and Development, Defence, Establishment Division, Education and Training, Finance Division, Housing and Works, Interior, Law and Justice, National Heritage and Integration, Narcotics Control, National Regulation and Services, States and Frontier Regions Division, Wafaqi Mohtasib Secretariat, Water and Power, Prime Minister’s Secretariat and the President Secretariat. In toto 8483 contract/daily wages employees of various Ministries/Divisions were ordered to be regularized.

The meeting of Cabinet Sub-Committee was also attended by the Federal Ministers for Inter Provincial Coordination, Mir Hazar Khan Bajarani, Minister for Science and Technology Mir Changez Khan Jamali, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Mr. Qamar Zaman Qaira. Minister for Postal Services Sardar Al-Haj Mohammad Umar Gorgaji, Minister for Education and Training, Sheikh Waqqas Akram, and Ch. Manzoor Ahmad, Chairman Peoples Labour Bureau.
