Multan, November 29, 2016 (PPI-OT): The business community of Southern Punjab have welcomed General Qamar Javed Bajwa as Pakistan’s new Chief of the Army Chief and General Zubair Mehmood Hayat as the new Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) and hoped that they would perform their national duties upto the entire satisfaction of the nation.
President of Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) Khawaja Jalaluddin congratulated the new COAS and Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Lt Gen Zubair Mahmood Hayat on taking the charge of their offices and said,” we are hopeful for Lt Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa and the future of the armed forces on all fronts under his guidance.
Roomi said that both generals are professionals who had abilities to face the challenges. He said that Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif picked him as the new army commander at a time when the country is facing several challenges, including the Indian aggression on the Line of Control and tiff on the western borders with fast-receding menace of terrorism and militancy sponsored by foreign powers. He said that armed forces had rendered precious sacrifices to purge the country of terrorism.
