Islamabad, October 20, 2012 (PPI-OT): A delegation of Capital Development Authority (CDA) Employees Union led by its General Secretary Chaudhry Muhammad Yaseen and President, Raja Aurangzaib visited Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) for congratulating Mr.Zafar Bakhtawari on his appointment as President of ICCI. Mr.Rahman Ghani, President Wapda Employees Union was also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr.Zafar Bakhtawari, President ICCI said that business community was always cooperating with Capital Development Authority, adding that ICCI would collaborate with CDA in making city more beautiful.
ICCI President appreciated the efforts of Mr.Tahir Shahbaz, Chairman CDA for initiating various development projects. He further said that CDA’s employee quota should be increased from 20percent to 30percent.
Mr.Munawar Mughal, former president ICCI and Chairman Expo Committee ICCI said that Founder Group had been winning ICCI elections for the last several years which showed its commitment to serve the business community.
That ICCI has planned to organize an International Industrial Expo in the Federal Capital to promote the export of country’s industrial products.
Ch.Yaseen said that CDA is the host institution of Federal Capital as it was working on development projects despite of financial problem. He was of the view that appointment of Mr.Bakhtawari as President of ICCI would further enhance the relationship of business community with diplomatic circle which would ultimately put a positive image of Pakistan in all over the world.
