British High Commissioner calls on caretaker Chief Minister Sindh

Karachi, April 25, 2013 (PPI-OT): British High Commissioner Mr. Adam Thomson Called on Caretaker Chief Minister Sindh Justice (Rtd) Zahid Kurban Alavi at CM House. Talking to the British High Commissioner Caretaker Chief Minister Sindh said that their was need of promoting the education sector in Sindh Province especially in remote rural areas so that people living in such areas could be provided better education opportunities. He added that education infrastructure needed to be developed for provision of quality education to the downtrodden people.

He stressed upon the British High Commissioner for maximum investment in education sector and added that for promotion of education we can work in coordination with private sector. British High Commissioner and Caretaker Chief Minister Sindh discussed various issues of mutual interest including next month’s general elections.

Mr. Justice (R) Zahid Kurban Alavi informed the visiting guest that all the necessary arrangements have been finalized for holding free and creditable general elections in the province. “We are extending all sorts of support to the election commission of Pakistan in this connection” CM Sindh added.
