Karachi, April 12, 2013 (PPI-OT): Caretaker Chief Minister Sindh Justice (Rtd) Zahid Kurban Alavi has said that being a densely populated, Karachi we are facing the challenges and some problems for which provincial government is string hard to meet those challenges.
This he said while talking to British Deputy High Commissioner Mr.Frances Campbel and Russian Federation Consul General Andray V. Demidov who separately called on him today at C.M House. Shahyar Khan Niazi, Additional Deputy Head of Mission was also present.
Caretaker Chief Minister Sindh said that provincial government is taking all possible measures to ensure, free, fair and transparent elections and election commission is being extended all sorts of support and assistance to make the general elections credible. He stated that for maintenance of law and order and ensuring peaceful conduct of general elections interim government is utilizing all resources .
He hoped that prompt and effective measures of the government will bring positive results very soon. Caretaker Chief Minister Sindh informed the British Deputy High Commissioner that IG Police Sindh and DG Rangers have been directed to make fool proof security arrangements for peaceful conduct of general elections.
He stressed upon the British Deputy High Commissioner to extend cooperation and assistance to promote the education especially in interior Sindh. While ensuring all possible cooperation to promote education, British Deputy High Commissioner said that British government under the Sindh education trust is taking steps for the development of education in various urban as well as rural areas of Sindh.
He said that British government has allocated funds of One Million Euro to provide better education facilities and enrollment of maximum number of Children across the province. Later Caretaker C.M Sindh presented gifts of Sindhi Topi and Ajrak to visiting dignitaries.
