Islamabad: Federal Minister for Professional and Technical Training, Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada has dissolved the previous Board of Governors of National Education Foundation due to inefficiency of BoG. The new BoG has been constituted today in which Federal Minister himself is a Chairman of the BoG while Federal Secretary, Ministry of Professional and Technical Training, Qamar Zaman Ch. is a Member. While rest of the composition of the BoG include Managing Director from National Education Foundation, Financial Advisor from M/O P and TT Ms. Donia Aziz, MNA, Vice Chancellor of Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad Mr. Ghulam Mohiuddin who is Chief Economist of Planning and Development Department, Government of Baluchistan, Mr. Fazaullah Qureshi, Federal Secretary (Retd), Planning and Development Division, Islamabad Dr. Syed Fayaz Ahmed from ICT Dr. Ghulam Hussain Kazmi, Professor (Retd) Muzaffarabad College AJK, Dr. Ameer Sultan, Ex-Principal Government Postgraduate College (FATA) and Mr. Nasir Khattak, Chief Executive Pakistan Match Institute, Peshawar. Federal Minister has taken the action against previous BoG as it was pointed out by the PAC and Federal Minister also fired many officers / officials who were not performing their duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.
By ensuring the recommendations of PAC, Federal Minister has assured transparency in National Education Foundation. Federal Minister told that all the pending salaries of employees have been paid and he has said the department as well the employees from being abolished after 18th amendment.
