Islamabad, July 27, 2014 (PPI-OT): Ramazan Sasta Bazaar organized by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) at the site of Sector G-6 Weekly Bazaar has been providing utmost relief to the citizens of the Federal Capital.
The daily used edible items, fresh vegetables, fruits, poultry and meat were available in huge quantity for the people visiting the Sasta Bazaar on daily basis, while the Sasta Bazaar remained opened throughout the holy month of Ramazan. The bazaar administration deserves appreciation for organizing the Ramazan Sasta Bazaar with all required facilities.
Chairman CDA, Mr. Maroof Afzal expressed these views while chairing a meeting to review the arrangements made by CDA for organizing Ramazan Sasta Bazaar and provision of facilities to the public in weekly bazaars of Sector G-6, H-9, I-9 and Bhara Khu as per schedule i.e. Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.
Chairman CDA, Mr. Maroof Afzal said that availability of edible items and fresh fruits and vegetables on cheaper rates was ensured by the concerned formation CDA on daily basis. For this purpose the officers and officials have work hard round the clock to facilitate the residents of the capital city, said the Chairman CDA.
Member Administration and Estate, Amer Ali Ahmed apprised the Chairman CDA, Maroof Afzal that CDA organized Ramazan Sasta Bazaar at the site of G-6 weekly bazaar, besides the permanent weekly bazaars, which remained functional during the month of Ramazan.
The stallholders were facilitated at the vacant stalls in Sector G-6, who arranged their stalls including fresh fruits, vegetables and meet stalls for provision to the residents on concessional rates. He further informed the Chairman CDA that the edible items available to the public were in huge quantity, adding that stall have been provided to the vendors free of cost.
He said that the CDA staff worked round the clock during the whole month of Ramazan with zeal and devotion and made the edible items available to the public on cheaper rates approved by CDA on the pattern of other weekly bazaars.
The rates for Ramazan Sasta Bazaar were approved in the light of detailed survey of wholesale rates by the concerned formation of CDA in Sector I-11 Fruit and Vegetable Market, adding that a large number of people visited the Sasta Bazaar on daily basis, Member Administration and Estate informed the Chairman CDA.
Member Administration and Estate informed the Chairman CDA that strict security measures have been taken to avoid any untoward incidents while concerned formation of the Authority established an effective monitoring system for availability of quality edible items in large quantity as per approved rates with standard weight.
Chairman CDA, Maroof Afzal expressed his satisfaction over the arrangement of Ramazan Sasta Bazaar in Sector G-6 and directed concerned formation of the Authority to device a comprehensive strategy for arrangement of Ramazan Sasta Bazaar at other weekly bazaars by the next year so that the residents of the Federal Capital could also be facilitated during the holy month of Ramazan.
Chairman CDA directed be bazaar administration to ensure the availability of daily used edible items in all CDA weekly bazaars soon after the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays to avoid inconvenience to the public.
