Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan has directed the Planning and Development Department to formulate development plans in the next budget keeping in view the socio-economic needs of each district.
Chairing a meeting held in Quetta to review the progress on ongoing development schemes of Agriculture, Excise and Taxation, Culture and Board of Revenue departments, the Chief Minister said that the development programs should be formulated under a comprehensive strategy for the development of productive sectors.
The Chief Minister also directed to prepare plans for strengthening the existing tourist sites for the development and promotion of tourism in the province.
Earlier, the meeting was informed that plans are being drawn up for setting up market infrastructure, olive cultivation and processing and grading plants for palms and apples.
