Islamabad, April 17, 2014 (PPI-OT): A high level delegation of the Kingdom of the Bahrain led by Ms. Shaik Salman Ateyatalla Al-Khalifa met Mrs. Saira Afzal Tarar Minister of State for National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination today in the Ministry. The visit is a follow-up of the visit of the His Majesty Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Pakistan during March this year.
The King of Bahrain had committed to assist in the establishment of state of the art medical university in Pakistan. The university will be a gift from the King of Bahrain to the people of Pakistan. The visiting delegates discussed next steps and practical modalities for establishing in Pakistan.
Minister welcomed the offer and expressed gratitude to the Kingdom of Bahrain for their gesture which will contribute significantly to uplift of medical education in the country. It was agreed that state of art medical university with highly qualified faculty and including a nursing school will be established with Bahrainis assistance.
The Minister said that the initiative would further cement the historical cordial and brotherly relations between the two countries. The delegation thanked the Minister and expressed all out support for timely initiation and completion of this project.
