Azerbaijan’s government provided humanitarian aid to flood hit persons of Sargodha

Islamabad, October 30, 2014 (PPI-OT): In a ceremony organized by Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal, ration bags having food stuff were distributed among the persons who got affected by the flood in Sargodha Region. Azerbaijan International Development Agency (AIDA) donated these gifts on the behalf of people of Azerbaijan. Ambassador of Azerbaijan Dashgin Shikarov and Managing Director Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal. Barrister Abid Waheed were the Chief Guests of this event. Speaking on this occasion, Ambassador of Azerbaijan Dashgin Shikarov highlighted ties and shared values of two nations that bring people of Azerbaijan and Pakistan together.

He also briefed the participants about AIDA’s humanitarian aid throughout the world. Azerbaijan’s Ambassador showed his willingness for more joint-ventures with PBM for providing relief to the poor people of the country. He also vowed to distribute such assistance in other flood hit areas of Pakistan as well.

Managing Director Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal Barrister Abid Waheed expressed his gratitude to the people of Azerbaijan for showing solidarity with the affected people of Pakistan and having trust on the transparent and capable service mechanism of PBM. He said that Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal will keep extending all-out support and maximum relief to the flood victims.

MD PBM also acknowledged the humanitarian assistance of Azerbaijan International Development Agency’s support to mitigate the difficulties of flood-affected people of Pakistan. On this occasion 300 flood-affected persons were provided relief goods.
