Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister condemns abduction of Azad Jammu and Kashmir citizens by Indian troops

Muzaffarabad, August 20, 2013 (PPI-OT): AJK Prime Minister Ch Abdul Majeed has strongly condemned the abduction of four male citizens of Azad Jammu and Kashmir by the Indian troops, violating the LOC allegedly by crossing into the no-man land area. He urged the world power to take notice the Indian atrocities by abducting four innocent persons who harvesting herbs in the AJK side close to the Line of Control.

It is to be noted that the Indian occupied forces deployed at other side of line of control facing Kairen sector in Neelam valley district, abducted four citizens of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sunday evening. The four men were identified as Ghulam Sarwar, Shazaman, Wajid Akbar and Mohammad Faisal.

The AJK Prime Minister has called upon the international community to immediately intervene for ensuring safe return of the four citizens of AJK from the unlawful custody of the Indian troops deployed at the Indian-held side of Jammu and Kashmir. Last week, the reported unprovoked firing by the Indian troops from across the LoC in Rawalkot sector had resulted in martyrdom of a Pakistani solider and critically injured another. The martyred Pakistani soldier Asim Iqbal, who had died in the unprovoked firing by the Indian troops, was the resident of a village near Rawalpindi.
