Srinagar, August 09, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, authorities have placed the All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq under house arrest to prevent him from visiting Kakapora area of Pulwama, today. The Mirwaiz was informed about his detention, last evening. He was scheduled to visit the family of the youth, Talib Hussain Shah, who was martyred by Indian troops on Wednesday in the town.
Three residential houses were also razed to ground and many damaged in the town during forces’ operation. Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was to exhibit solidarity with Talib’s family and those whose houses were destroyed by Indian army; however, he was not allowed to move out of his residence, APHC spokesman told media persons in Srinagar.
