Srinagar March 06, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the leader of All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) and the Muslim Khawateen Markaz Jammu and Kashmir Chairperson, Yasmeen Raja has said that the authorities have converted the territory into a police state by imposing curbs and restrictions on the movement and political activities of Hurriyet leaders and activists.
Yasmeen Raja in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the authorities were using every tactic and even the people of Kashmir were being massacred to prolong its occupation in the territory.
She strongly denounced the killing of a Kashmiri youth, Tahir Ahmed by Indian troops and described it the worst kind of human rights violations. She said that such actions by the Indian rulers and their puppet administration could not suppress the voice of Kashmiris for their inalienable right to self-determination.
The APHC leader appealed the international community to take notice of Indian state terrorism and put pressure on India to resolve the long-standing Kashmir dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations.
