Rawalpindi: Lieutenant General David Morrison, Chief of Army Australia (COA), who is on a visit to Pakistan called on Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), General Khalid Shameem Wynne at Joint Staff Headquarters.
Both the leaders exchanged views on security situation especially in Afghanistan and South Asian region and explored the avenues of expansion of ongoing defence cooperation between the two countries. Other matters of mutual interest also came under discussion.
Later General Sir Peter Wall, Chief of General staff, United Kingdom also called on General Khalid Shameem Wynne, he remained with the Chairman for some time and discussed matters related to common interests, with a special emphasis on the evolving geo-strategic situation of the region .Both the visiting military dignitaries appreciated the sacrifices made by the armed forces of Pakistan in the fight against terror and there in, stabilizing the region.
