Assistant Secretary of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) Kirsten D. Madison will travel to Orlando, FL, October 5 to participate in a major police chiefs meeting.
The Major Cities Chiefs Association (MCCA), a professional association of police chiefs and sheriffs from the largest U.S. and Canadian cities, is holding its annual fall meeting in Orlando. Following this meeting, Assistant Secretary Madison will host a reception for INL’s foreign and U.S. law enforcement partners, many of whom are in Orlando for a training at the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Annual Conference.
INL has established partnerships with 107 U.S. federal, state, and local law enforcement, corrections, justice sector, and ports institutions to provide criminal justice expertise to international counterparts. Through these partnerships, INL taps into U.S. expertise to help foreign counterparts build capacity, improve efficiencies, and deliver effective criminal justice � all key activities for effectively countering the transnational crime and narcotics trafficking that threatens our nation.
