Joint team of Karachi Water and Sewerage Board, Department of Health collected water samples and reports are satisfactory
Karachi, October 20, 2012 (PPI-OT): Continuing the collaborative efforts, the joint team of Karachi Water and Sewerage Board and Department of Health collected 105 samples from the city and the reports are satisfactory. These reports eliminate the element of doubt spread among the citizens by some rumours during past couple of days. However, Department of Health Officials have assured that they will unveil the culprits involved in spreading groundless water reports in the media.
It was decided during a meeting between Managing Director Karachi Water and Sewerage Board and Provincial Department of Health that as per the directives of Minister Health joint teams would be formulated to collect the samples.
On this occasion, officials from Health Department visited the KW and SB laboratory and expressed their satisfaction on the testing process stating that the Laboratory is equipped with latest testing equipment and the reports issued by KW and SB are indeed authentic.
Joint teams of KW and SB and Health Department collected 105 samples from the city today, which were tested in the presence of representatives from health department. The joint survey team attested that the reports are satisfactory and the amount of chlorine is as per standards.
On the directives of Minister Health KW and SB is conducting test in their laboratories at C.O.D Filtration Plant. KW and SB has requested the citizens of Karachi that they should not consider any rumours regarding the reports since the only authentic reports are issued by KW and SB laboratories. However, in case of any doubts any citizen can get their properly sampled water from the KW and SB laboratories.
