Asian Football Confederation declares 8th March as Women’s Football Day

Lahore, March 04, 2015 (PPI-OT): Asian Football Confederation declared 8th March of every year as AFC Women’s Football Day which coincides with International Women’s Day also. PFF following the path set by AFC encourages all the girls and women of different fields like players, coaches’ referees, administrators and volunteers to celebrate this day holding different relevant activities and events in three major cities of Pakistan, Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad.

In this regard, to acknowledge, appreciate and celebrate the Women Football Development and to create awareness of Women Football amongst the masses, PFF will organize Women Football Seminars and Field activities through its affiliated Women Clubs in their respective areas.

The activities will be carried out in Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad consisting of seminars on Women Grass Root Football Development, Importance of Sports in Education, Development of Women Competitions and Responsibilities of Women Coach, Women Referee, Women Players and the family members and who the interest of football can be created among the girls. The seminars will be followed by practical group demonstrations by the participating women players on the field.
