Srinagar, August 23, 2015 (PPI-OT): Senior Vice Chairmen of Kashmir Freedom Front (KFF), Syed Abdullah Gilani and Muhammad Akbar Dar have condemned the continued arrest of Hurriyet leader and party Chairman, Syed Bashir Andrabi and said that the oppressive tactics could not weaken the freedom sentiments of Kashmiri people. Syed Abdullah Gilani and Muhammad Akbar Dar in their joint statement expressed concern over the cancellation of Pak-India National Security Advisors talks and said that Kashmir dispute was the main hurdle in peace and prosperity in the region.
They said India should shun its traditional stubbornness and should engage the two main stakeholders to Kashmir dispute i.e. Pakistan and the people of Kashmir in any talks. The leaders made it clear that Kashmiri people were important party to Kashmir dispute and could not be in any way ignored.
Demanding the release of the KFF Chairman, Syed Bashir Andrabi, the leaders said that despite torture, harassment, arrests and restrictions the people of Kashmir could not be crushed and were determined to secure their right to self-determination. All these tactics exposed the farce face of Indian democracy, they added.
