Around 4000 candidates to appear in Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology Admission Test at Expo

Karachi: Management of Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) has changed the venue to hold entry test at Expo Centre Karachi this year in view of the large number of applications for admission in six disciplines, and also for security reasons. Last year the test took place at the Campus. This year more than 3600 candidates are expected to be appearing in the entry test for the Batch 2012.

According to the Registrar SSUET, admission test will start at 10:00 am on November 20, and it will continue for two hours. Candidates will get to the place of examination – Hall 5 and Hall 6 – at Expo Centre through Gate 2 from Sir Shah Suleman Road. The gate will open at 8:30 am and after 9:15 am no candidate will be allowed to enter the examination halls.

Interviews will take place at the University Campus from 21st November to 25th November 2011 for which 22 committees have been formed.

Merit list will be displayed on notice board at the campus and website on Saturday 24th December 2011 and the classes for new session Batch 2012 will commence from 23rd January 2011.

It has been informed that some 4399 candidates have obtained prospectus and total 3842 applications have been received and processed for admission in 6 disciplines including 154 applications for Bio Medical Engineering, for Civil, 1358 for Electronic, 1378 for Telecommunication, 161 for Computer Engineering and 390 for Computer Science. 401 Previous year 3800 prospectus had been sold while 3400 candidates appeared in the entry test.
