APHC-AJK holds protest outside UN office in Islamabad

Srinagar, April 20, 2016 (PPI-OT):The All Parties Hurriyet Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chapter (APHC-AJK), held a peaceful protest outside the United Nations Observers’ Office in Islamabad, today, against the killing of innocent youth in Kupwara and atrocities on Kashmiris by Indian Army and police in occupied Kashmir.

The protest was led by APHC-AJK Convener, Ghulam Muhammad Safi. The participants raised pro-freedom and anti-slogans. They said that Indian Army had unleashed a wave of terror in the occupied territory. The protesters also condemned the illegal detention of Hurriyet leaders and activists by the occupation authorities. The expressed concern over reports about sending more troops by India to occupied Kashmir.

The participants said that Kashmiris had rendered matchless sacrifices for the Kashmir cause and they would take the ongoing liberation movement to its logical conclusion, despite all odds. A memorandum addressed to the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon was also presented to the UN office at the end of the protest.
