A special anti-polio campaign begins in different areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA and Karachi from tomorrow (Monday).
Punjab Health Department says during the campaign, about eight million children under five will be administered anti-polio drops during the five-day campaign in 12 districts of the province.
Punjab Minister for Primary and Secondary Healthcare Khawaja Imran Nazir in a statement said these districts include Lahore, Sheikhupura, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Muzaffargarh, Rajanpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Layyah, Bhakkar, Mianwali, Rawalpindi and Attock.
In Khyber Pakhtunkwa and FATA, during the three-day anti-polio campaign, about five point five million children will be administered anti-polio drops.
Meanwhile, all arrangements have been finalized for a seven-day anti-polio drive beginning in Karachi from tomorrow (Monday).
A target of one point nine million children up to five years of age will be administered anti-polio drops in 170 union councils of the city.
