Rawalpindi, July 26, 2013 (PPI-OT): In continuation to zero tolerance on notorious Narcotics smugglers/ traffickers as directed by Director General Anti Narcotics Force, Regional Headquarter ANF Peshawar arrested 2x Drug Traffickers, recovered 3.6 KG Charas and 14.4 KG Opium.
According to details, on 25 July early in the morning, a surprise spot check was placed short of Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar. On observing checking process, a brand new Suzuki swift car registered no (Islamabad) ZG 499, took U-turn and tried to evade checking. However ANF officials stopped the car after a chase.
On detailed search, 3.6 Kg Charas and 14.4Kg Opium of fine quality was recovered. Drugs were concealed in secret cavities of the car. Two persons have been arrested at the spot. FIR has been registered, further investigations are in progress.
Now a days, ANF is carrying out wide-ranging operations in different cities. Recent strike against Drug Traffickers / Smugglers is continuation of its pledge to make Pakistan a Drug Free Society.
