Islamabad: Mr. Sannaullah, Pakistan’s Ambassador designate to Indonesia , Mr. M. Jamshaid Iftikhar, Ambassador designate to Bulgharia, Mr. Abdul Basit, Ambassador designate to Germany, Mr. S. Mushtaq Ali Shah, Ambassador designate to Tunis and Mr. Ghulam Dastgir, Ambassador designate to Ethopia called on Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani at Prime Minister’s House.
The Prime Minister gave guidelines to Ambassadors designate by emphasizing that trade diplomacy should constitute an important component of their diplomatic assignments.
The Prime Minister said that the countries where they were going as Ambassador held immense potential for Pakistani products and services.
The Ambassador designate to Ethopia said the country’s GDP growth had been quiet impressive since last years and it would be his endeavour to explore opportunities in sugar and textile sectors and would try to arrange meetings of business houses of both countries.
The Ambassador designate to Bulgaria said that the country of his appointment was gateway to Europe and has strategic importance in trade and defence sectors.
The Ambassador designate to Tunisia said that it would be his endeavour to bring the State Bank of Pakistan and host country’s central bank closer to facilitate the trade between two countries.
