Islamabad: “Collaboration between DOW medical university and medical colleges in the UAE would help the two sides in establishing additional ties in the field of studies of medicine and services by Pakistani consultants in various hospitals”, this was discussed between Ambassador Jamil Ahmed Khan and His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister for Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Ambassador Khan stated that a special request has been received from the Ruler’s Court of Fujairah for assistance in their medical colleges and hospitals by Pakistani experts. A team of experts headed by Principal, DOW medical university, has been nominated to visit the emirate of Fujairah and Secretariat of Higher Education of the UAE to firm up the various aspects of Memorandum of Understanding which would soon be signed between the two countries.
Ambassador Jamil Ahmed Khan expressed commitment of the Government of Pakistan to further enhance the level of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in all areas including education and hoped that the proposed MoU would help UAE take advantage of Pakistan ’s expertise in the field of medical science.
