Ambassador Farukh Amil for Japanese investment in Pakistan

Islamabad, March 12, 2013 (PPI-OT): Pakistan Ambassador to Japan, Farukh Amil in a meeting with Mr. Tadakazu Kimura, President and CEO of the leading Japanese newspaper Asahi Shimbun today, invited Japanese industries to make investments in Pakistan says a press release received here today from Tokyo.

The Ambassador on this occasion expressed deep appreciation over Japanese help for development of Pakistan without conditions. This he said, underscored that Japan with its Asian values, treated Pakistan with respect and dignity. Japanese assistance in infrastructural projects was immense and help during calamities was greatly appreciated by the people of Pakistan.

Ambassador Farukh Amil briefed Mr. Kimura on the democratic process in Pakistan, noting that for the first time in the history of Pakistan, a democratically elected Government would be completing its five year tenure.

Mr. Kimura enquired about Ms. Malala Yousufzai highlighting that she was loved in Japan. The Ambassador said that Ms. Malala was a brave young girl, a symbol of courage and an articulate voice for girls’ education. The children of Pakistan, like in all countries, were the nation’s future. Asahi Shimbun has a daily circulation of nearly 8 million.
